Abstract

Rita Valencia talks to Gilberto López y Rivas, research professor at the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) Morelos. He is a long-term contributor to the Mexican newspaper La Jornada and committed to the struggles of Indigenous peoples and peasants. They talk about the relationship of Indigenous peoples and the state, the chances of legal defence against extractivist megaprojects, and the Government’s security strategy.
