Abstract

While there has been a more diverse engagement of students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds in higher education institutions, there are clearly existing barriers that prevent the engagement and achievement of these students. As such, it is necessary to interrogate the fabric of higher education institutions and their inclusivity.
