Evaluates different economic systems using as a criterion their ability to satisfy human needs. Discussion on need-satisfaction as a measure of welfare outcomes; Theoretical framework for macro-social analysis; Taxonomy of economic institutions; Discourse on free market capitalism, state socialism, community, communitarianism and communism, statist capitalism, coporatist capitalism and neoliberal capitalism.
