Abstract

The article focuses on an issue regarding the move to increase opportunities and to lessen the risks for the European children in using the Internet. It mentions the implementation of EU Kids Online funded by the European Commission's Safer Internet plus Programme. It presents an analysis of the 2008 Eurobarometer survey which depicts that parental anxiety over children's Internet use is minimized if parents are Internet users.
