Abstract

The article discusses digital literacy among young people and the problems posed by online media environments. It mentions media and society think-tank POLIS, which assembled a panel to examine the differences in engagement with the media across age, expertise and context. It notes the importance of recognizing critical awareness in relation to digital literacies and the diversity which characterizes the youth population.
