Compares the provisions of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 s.35(6), the Uniform Commercial Code Art.2, and the Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods 1980 Art.48. Contrasts the reasoning of the House of Lords and the Inner House of the Court of Session in J&H Ritchie Ltd v Lloyd Ltd on whether a buyer was entitled to reject goods repaired by the seller where the seller refused to disclose the exact nature of the defect that had been repaired. Discusses difficulties with the concept of the implied term of information in the majority judgments of the House of Lords.
