Abstract
This chapter discusses culture’s role in combating climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. It investigates how the cultural and creative sectors could contribute more to climate change mitigation and adaptation and to public awareness and empowerment. It also assesses public policy at different levels of government. Although progress is being made, the EU has yet to develop an integral approach that unites practitioners and policy-makers across the different sectors, both nationally and at EU level.
