Abstract
Dr. Natalya Naqvi is Assistant Professor in International Political Economy at the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics. She was previously a postdoctoral research fellow at the Global Economic Governance Program at Blavatnik School of Governance, Oxford University and the Neihaus Center for Globalization and Governance, at the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University. She holds a PhD from the Centre of Development Studies, University of Cambridge. Her research interests revolve around the role of the state and the financial sector in economic development, and how much policy space developing countries have to conduct selective industrial policies despite the constraints posed by economic globalisation.
