Abstract

Gentrification occurs when middle-class people, attracted by cheaper prices and often romanticised cultures, relocate to working class neighbourhoods. From the scientific innovation of Electric Avenue, to Caribbean cultures brought by Windrush migrants, to the sweet exotic aroma’s of Brixton market, to Pop Brixton - there’s no denying Brixton has changed.
