Abstract

The ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP) brings together some of the world’s leading researchers on climate change economics and policy, from many different disciplines. The Centre is hosted jointly by the University of Leeds and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and is chaired by Professor Lord Stern of Brentford. CCCEP was established in 2008 and its first phase ended on 30 September 2013. Its second phase commenced on 1 October 2013 and ended on 30 September 2018. DATA DESCRIPTION (ABSTRACT) This project produced two peer-reviewed publications whose data and computer codes are relevant for archiving. The first paper, Bowen et al (2018), created a detailed characterisation of green employment in the USA and assessed the potential for green job transitions. The second paper, Doda (2018) analysed how emissions relate to employment by skill level, capital stock and productivity with a focus on sectors figuring prominently in the climate-policy debate, namely high- and low-carbon intensity sectors of the OECD and emerging countries. The data used are publically available from online databases as detailed below and in the papers. The computer codes associated with the papers have been archived in ReShare.
