Abstract

In a diverse range of countries, including Sweden, England and the US, there has been an increase in the role played by private providers in the delivery of compulsory education (e.g., Blomqvist 2004; West and Bailey 2013; West and Nikolai 2017; Zimmer et al. 2009).
