Abstract

This book presents an up to date view of the diffusion of information technology and information systems in Greece. It relates the national socio-economic context and the policies of the Greek government to the use and impact of IT and IS in the major sectors of the Greek economy. This is compared to the traditional 'textbook' examples of the USA and north-west Europe. The book is a valuable guide not only for Greek academics, managers and policy-makers but also for researchers and practitioners in countries with a similar socio-economic profile to that of Greece.
