Thinking about the sociological dimension of cinema implies an infinite variety of possible approaches. The relationship between cinema and society could be established well from those aspects of the contents of the film discourse that give an account of a social reality - cinema as a representation of an imaginary era -, as well as an industry in which hegemonic imaginary and power struggles, either as a social product in which behaviors, reception phenomena and habits of cultural consumption are settled, to mention only three possible sociological entries to this genre. But the link between sociology and cinema can also arise in reverse, asking us about the discursive / cinematographic dimension of our social world. That is, investigating the articulation of filmic discourse in the production of a social imaginary. What in the terms of Giulia Colaizzi (1995, 1997, 2001), would imply an approach that aims to understand cinema as a social technology that challenges subjects by configuring both the self and their world.
