Abstract

Steve Gibbons describes how a series of influential studies from the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the LSE has confirmed the widespread belief that a link exists between house prices and the quality of local schools. He goes on to explain the nuances of the findings and the significance they hold for public policy surrounding education, cities and social mobility.
