Abstract

On 20th November 2007 CSC published the first ever global report on street children entitled State of the World's Street Children: Violence. The report aims to promote a better understanding of the lives of street children and encourage policy makers, activists, community leaders and service providers to take effective actions to prevent and reduce the violence experienced by street children. The report identifies violence as a key factor forcing children onto the streets and provides recommendations for policies, community support and service delivery which CSC is turning into workable tools to help its members and the international communit to prevent and reduce the level of violence experienced by street children.
