Examines the impact of the Human Rights Act 1998, the approach to the Act and the rhetoric used by political parties and how it has been perceived by different groups. Reviews the background to the introduction of the Act. Considers whether it is likely to be replaced by a UK Bill of Rights and whether such a Bill would have stronger or weaker enforcement provisions than the Act.
