Abstract

Following Meta’s decision to ‘get rid of fact-checkers’ and the US administration’s decision to ban TikTok unless it is sold to a US buyer, LSE’s Professor Shakuntala Banaji looks at what the changing social media landscape means for the proliferation of online hate and disinformation.
