Abstract
This article addresses a longstanding blindspot in anthropology, arguing that Western Protestant kinships have been overlooked in literature on both Christianity and English kinship. It is suggested that the recent and surprising popularity of Anglican cathedral visiting in England can be best understood by exploring the multiple ways in which cathedrals offer emplaced relational resources for overlapping constituencies of people who use these sites.
