Abstract

In 2017 the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE Health) was engaged by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) to undertake two interconnected tasks: first, a review of the Kuwait healthcare system and, second, to develop a public health strategy for the country. This report represents findings from the first task by outlining and assessing governance, financing, workforce, IT, service provision and public health arrangements within Kuwait’s healthcare system. The Digital Futures Commission launched its report on Problems with Data Governance in UK Schools: the cases of Google Classroom and ClassDojo on 31 August 2022, chaired by Baroness Beeban Kidron OBE, Founder and Chair of 5Rights. After an outline of the problems posed by data-driven digital technologies in school, by Professor Sonia Livingstone OBE, lead author Louise Hooper, barrister at Garden Court Chambers, set out the report’s key findings following a socio-legal analysis of two widely-used EdTech products.
