Abstract

Drawing on his chapter in the collection Narrative Expansions (edited by Jess Crilly and Regina Everitt), LSE Library’s Academic Liaison and Collection Development Manager Kevin Wilson discusses the impact of decolonisation on collection development and issues of bias within library collections. Working to involve academic staff and students in developing collections is shown to increase inclusivity and representation, while encouraging a sense of ‘shared ownership’ over library collections.
