Abstract
Ruth Patrick, Kayleigh Garthwaite, Maddy Power and Geoff Page write that recent political rhetoric is underpinned by a recognition that COVID-19 is inevitably a catalyst for change. They argue that if we are to truly ‘build back better’, we need to ensure that there are better mechanisms for listening to and engaging with various forms of expertise, including that which comes from lived experience.
