Abstract

During The Spanish Civil War, few minority communities existed within Franco’s Catholic Spain; Ashad Ali Haji, an Ismaili Muslim born in India, led one such Shia, Muslim community. This research preserved the oral histories of Haji and his family’s survival as Spanish Muslims living in political and social conflict. Acknowledgements: Institute of Ismaili Studies
