Abstract
The paper explores potential reasons why one in every three South Asian-origin immigrants voted to leave the EU in the Brexit referendum. It explores the hierarchies of immigrant identities that have emerged in British society and why these South Asian Brexiteers identify with a future for Britain with lesser immigrants
