Abstract

The photo shows a farmer’s son riding a mule near Khinalug, in the mountains of Azerbaijan. It is a symbol for idleness. The debate on the future of work must include the critical discussion of children's rights and child labour. The photo reflects the situation in many countries around the world, where children are forced to work as a result of poverty and lack of opportunities.
