Slovak civil service: hard(ly) working(?).
LSE Research Festival 2019, London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK.
Abstract
An analogue photograph of an office in the Presidential Palace, the top of the civil service pyramid, depicts how does civil service (not) work. An ethnographic study of Slovak civil service explores the naivete impossibility of Weberian and Foucaultian ideal models of bureaucracy in setting of a post-socialist country.
