Abstract
Has the Arab Spring, and the resultant democratising of countries in the Arab World proved a benefit to the EU, or a threat to its power? Can the EU weather the storm of the resultant initial instability in its surrounding neighbourhood, and continue to value and promote liberal democracy instead of authoritarian stability?
