Abstract
Onderzoek naar uitkeringen van de Britse overheid aan Local Authorities (LA’s), vergelijkbaar met de algemene en doeluitkeringen aan de Nederlandse gemeenten, wijst uit dat extra geld van het Rijk leidt tot hogere woningprijzen. Zo kan steun aan probleemgebieden uiteindelijk terechtkomen bij grondeigenaren.
