Abstract

In her inaugural public lecture (delivered at LSE Wednesday 27 February 2008, 6:30-8pm Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House) Professor Lilie Chouliaraki talks about suffering in the media, addressing the question of how far images and stories of suffering make a difference in our ways of engaging with distant sufferers.
